About RV Helping Hands

I grew up around RVs, camping with my parents and sister and enjoying weekend and vacation get-aways.  After marrying my wife in the early 80s, we continued the camping lifestyle with our children.  Now that our kids are grown, we live full-time in our RV. Through the years, we have experienced the frustration of trying to get repairs made and waiting on the dealer’s schedule before being able to continue using and enjoying our RV. 

I started RV Helping Hands to help relieve that frustration for other people.  I want you to be able to enjoy your time away instead of dealing with RV problems. The goal of RV Helping Hands is to reduce the stress and frustration of having your vacation interrupted or possibly ended by problems with your RV.  I will come to wherever you are located, be it a campground or your home, and most times will get your problem fixed in a few hours instead of a few weeks (or months).

Air Conditioners

A fully functional air conditioner can be an important part of a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We offer repair services for all types of air conditioners. We will ask you to show us what is or isn’t happening and then troubleshoot the system to find the problem. We will explain what we find and our recommendation for getting the system fully functional again. With your approval, we will then complete the repair if possible. We may need to order parts and make a second trip.

Furnaces

Travelling in the cooler Spring and Fall seasons and even through the Winter can be a great time away. However, a furnace that isn’t working properly can definitely spoil the experience. We will track down the problem, let you know what is happening, and with your approval we will make the repair. Usually, we have the parts on our truck and can make the repair immediately. On occasion we may need to order parts and make a second trip to complete the repair.

Refrigerator

When your refrigerator isn’t working, it can spoil not only your food, but also your fun. We work on all types of refrigerators including gas or gas/electric absorption type refrigerators, residential refrigerators, and 12volt refrigerators.

Water Heater

If need to get moving and don’t have time for us to fix it, we can usually get the slide either extended or retracted so that you can get on with your trip and know what you need to deal with later
